Pitfalls of the Blind Photographer

Well, I went to my usual haunts today; the harbor and across the bridge to the causeway and Harbor Island...must have shot a hundred photos. When I got home and downloaded to my computer, I found that I'd been using the wrong settings all day and had to delete the whole batch. Bummer!

It was another day with the doctors so no time for photo therapy again today... so here's another from the archives

John's No picture today

I spent my day on a trip to San Antonio and got back too late to try for a photo. I'll try to make up for it tomorrow.

Harbor Mix

Another trip to the harbor this afternoon was rewarded with this mix of beautiful wildflowers. No ant battles today!

Out in the Weeds

I decided to go out in the weeds again today. I found these coneflowers near Allen St. at Conn Brown Harbor...had to battle high winds again and stood (unknowingly of course) on a red ant den to get a shot. Ahh, the travails of the photo know, no sacrifice too great for the pursuit of art! Yeah, right.

From The Harbor Today

I sneaked out of the house and made a circle around the harbor this afternoon but the wind was blowing so hard I couldn't get anything to stay still long enough to get much of a shot. This was the best I could do for now.

Yellow Candlestick

My friend Norma works for the City of Aransas Pass and her office used to be in an old water tank...pretty neat huh. She always had beautiful flowers there, including these yellow candlesticks.

Calm Harbor

I've always loved the way the light brought this scene to life. Sometimes you get lucky and Mother Nature presents you with a gift.
